AE92 4AFC - 4AGE

Postby lostangel » Wed Apr 27, 2005 2:58 pm

I have an '88 AE92 Corolla(FWD) with a 4AFC engine in it.

I'm considering a swap to a 4AGE and are wondering on which other parts I will have to swap out along with the engine.

Are the CVs going to fit, Gearbox/Clutch ok, etc ?

Any info here will be appreciated.

Engine, loom, ecu and fuel pump will get it driveable. Assuming you get all accessories with the engine, such as MAP sensor, Ignitor etc...

For the time and money involved it would be cheaper to sell the car and buy a 4AGE powered AE92

As far as I can tell so far, all I will need to change is the electrics.(Complete wiring)

Is that the case? If so I'll probably go ahead with it as it'll be far cheaper than buying another corolla in the condition mine is in.

My swap in an AE82 cost me $850 inc engine etc doing ALL the work myself. So if you can DIY or get some mates to help out, Itll be a worth while swap.

Oh, and I got a brand new fuel pump, extractors and a few other bits that you could get 2nd hand to make it cheaper.
