Performance specs are the same. AFAIK they are the same engine, and neither one has VVTI-iL, that's only on the NA models.

/me slaps self

of course thats NA only...

so the only thing causing it to qualify as an LEV would be a more restrictive exhaust?

Don't know, but I doubt you'd get the same power if the exhaust was more restrictive, maybe they added another cat???

theres a few different parts.....

ecu is different
crank (rods the same)
pistons
inlet manifold
injectors
fuel rail

cams and head are the same, downpipe/cat supercedes to same item... looks as though 246 could have another cat, hard to tell, it it does its part of the main exhaust...

the above parts are differnt part numbers..... some only one digit out, others liek the injectors are a totally different number.....
its possible that due to the newness of the 246 soem supersessions havnt been loaded, maybe the 215 parts are still in stock and they wont change the numbers untill they are exhausted... but thats pure speculation on my part...

if theres any other parts you want me too look at just sing out

iv been thinking... does it qualify as an LEV cause it meets certain regs in japan? what does a vehicle in NZ need to be classed as an LEV?
