Heh I knew a guy that got hit by a car doing 100km/h and was thrown INTO a 100km/h sign, no major injuries just broken arm or something

How'd they hit the powerpole?

Did you use both braincells to make that statement? If I personally wanted a FWD 1600, I'd take a Honda over a Toyota anyday. They make fantastic power, the motors are super reliable, the post-1990 cars don't rust out around the motors like other similar cars, they're cheap to purchase, run, and insure. If you were looking for a daily driver with track potential, what more could you want?

I've never come across a Honda EVER, with electrical problems. Gearbox maybe, but not electrical. Who told you that? I've never heard of that before.

Problems are problems. Doesn't matter what the problem is, just that it stops the car from functioning properly.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Or you could not, on principle.

Of course, I want to buy a lada, so my principles are rather... haphazard.

nah don't get a honda, I had an 1990 XSi for about 4 years. Granted after that time the motor was still going strong, but everything else had crapped out. Transmission died twice, ABS died mega $$$ to fix, Air con died, smoke came out of the heater, the thing leaked and stunk in winter, plus all the other little things that broke. Would never own another one.

If you want a run about buy my 4 door sprinter! Nice big solid parcel tray for mounting speakers and factory 6" slots in the front doors.

Not all toyotas are bullet proof. My mates 94 ae101 levin..
- blew a head gasket
- snapped the water pump belt
- snapped the timing belt
- broken dash electrics
- broken a/c vents
- many more little niggles...
- not to mention all the other problems with ae101s (TPS, crunchy factory syncros)
he never trashes it and its only done 150,000km...

that car took ages to get up to scratch...
