4age help plz (suspect TPS)

how do i know if the TPS is playing up,been trying to get me 89fx running good for like weeks now and no luck.. has new head etc.. done heaps to try and find out whats wrong.
if this helps any one the engine lite comes on if you rev it over 2.5-3rpm and stays on after that..???
also sluter and backfires out the intake,runs smoky as,
changed the fuel filter,pump,sparkplug,disy,injectors... running outa options..
help me someone!:)

you could try checking the ecu for fault codes.

Checked the timing, distributor may be out one tooth.

Or the cambelt may be out one tooth if it has been replaced lately.
