AE82 Struts

Postby ee904age » Thu May 26, 2005 8:31 pm

Can somebody please post a pic up of the strut towers (top) on an AE82 FX? I assumed they would be the same as my AE82 Liftback, but when I wet to fit the strut brace which is supposed to be from an AE82 Fx, its miles away from fitting.

The fx's have 4 nuts holding the top of the strut in.
Your liftback will only have 3

Cheers Andrew, turns out mine is definately not from an AE82, its only one piece and the mountings are different.

Does anyone know what this is off???

Looks like one off a ae92. Not sure though. Was goin to buy one like that for my old ae101, coz it fitted it fine. Had ae92 written on it and had that same bracket on it.

10 points to this man, this is indeed a factory ae92 item as i checked on the mrs GT, My 101 and others i have seen go straight across unlike the ae92 which bolt to firewall as well

what ae101 ones have you seen go across? they go to the fire wall like the one above..... how they mount to the towers is different though.
must have been aftermarket ones
