How to check for boost leaks

Hey guys how do i check for boost leaks? spray the area in CRC and see if it bubbles?

a thick mix of detergent (sg sunlight) may work better as crc does not always leave a layer on all surfaces

car needs to be under boost to check for a pressure leack
you can however check for vacume leacks as they will most likely become boost leaks

block your intake so the car really has to suck hard to run and spray crc onto the pipe if the car revs up or the crc dissapears into the tube you have a wina

the part im concerned about leakin is the blow off valve attachments. i can submesrse it in a ice cream container and see if it bubbles while boostin?

true but it shouldnt be suckin water in should it cause the boost will be trying to escape

the best way to check for boost leaks is to attach an unbuffered boost gauge (like an industrial pressure gauge for eg.)

if it varys wildly under consistent load then you have boost leak.

the other way of testing it would be to replace the piping you suspect is leaking and see if it makes a difference.
