vvt not working???

Postby good ol stoners » Mon May 30, 2005 5:19 pm

hey i was wondering if someone could tell me if the vvt has a 4 wire plug going to it on the loom? or how is it actually activated? becoz when i got my foot right down and then back off the engine check light comes on then turns off at 4000 rpm or below any ideas what this could be?
it just doesnt have a kick to it and from 5000 on wards it just takes to long to get up?
if anyone could help me out it could be great
and i have used the search and havent found anything with dis info

If you had VVT light installed and had shorted the wires, it will burn the darlington inside the ECU, happend to my mate, $5 replacement, just check if you are getting earth output from VVT pin on ECU when VVT is on or if you have VVT light does it come on?
