4AGZE Wiring

Postby CAMB01 » Mon May 30, 2005 8:08 pm

Hey all
I have put a map 4AGZE into my AE92 FX-GT (previus motor was a T-VIS 4AGE).
I have the entire loom and ECU for the GZE, now i don't want to change the dash loom, but one plug that goes into the ECU is different and must be changed. I am wondering if there is a way around not changing the entire loom or am i pushing s&*$ up hill and have to change it?
I know all about the Tacho not reading with DLI i am not concerned about this, i just want to get the motor running.

what model ze do u have, do u have wiring diagrams, i have a couple, but as they are all different it pays to make sure you get the right one.
you can just change the plug and use the wiring in the car a bit of choping and soldering

it is a bit of a time consuming exercise

Just use the plug off the ZE and join/match up the wires to your dashboard loom. You will need to use a Tacho interface form a VR-4 or other vehicle to make your tacho work.

Before you start double check here first:

No its not a booster, basically it takes one output from each coil and converts it into a signal your tach will handle. As far as I know they are from VR4's and evos came with them built into the coils

The wiring i have is from an AE92 map 4AGZE, the motor is from an AE101 SC levin. but the guy i bought it off had it running in his Levin.
The wire colors are different, and there are more wires on the GZE plug than on my plug in the car.
I know the engine will not run without this plugged into the ECU, since some of it is to do with ignition, tacho interface, etc etc....
