FXGT rear spoiler removal

hey guys ae101 fxgt ... i need to get the spoiler off it and was wondering if any one has any hints ... itook the bolts out on the side but it was stuck on withsome glue ??? do they usually come off without damaging the paint ????


anyone got a nack to doing it ??

pointless post from me, but can i ask why you are wanting to do such a thing chris?

also, if you do remove it, you will need to get a new high stop light to gain your next warrant, as the high stop is in the edge of the spoiler

hey man ... well i want to remove it so i can use some dynamate under the joins to stop it rattling .... cause it rattles bad :( ive deadand the boot lid with somet foam which has helped a littel .. but yup not much ...

id want to put the spoiler back on afterwards .... just take it off and dynamate the joins and put it back on :D



oh and on a side note ill have some pictures of my car 4 u from the auto salon ill pass em on to katie or you :D

well, if its glued on you could try some kind of solvent and hope it doesnt root the paint :P

If u can get it off led me know, i have the same problem with my subs, my stop light is the worst to rattle dam it.

sorry to bring up a old post ... but i tried like hell last night to see what needs to be removed has any one a diagram of how the spoiler fits together

or

CLEAR 1,2,3 instructions on how to remove ....cheers

Ive just had my car fully resprayed and my mate had the spoiler off to do it, if I get chance I will give him a call and find out how he got it off.
