I couldnt agree with you more. Most real car audio enthusiasts would think that just as idiotic as you do :) That kind of a car is about as much a 'performance audio system' as a riced up bling wagon sacked out the the nines is a 'performance car'

My point is, buying better audio gear just makes the driving experience better, especially for music fans. Lowering your car more makes the experience worse, period. One is about acheiving an enjoyable end result, the other is about doing something entirely pointless just to impress shallow-minded onlookers. Therein lies the difference.

Most good names already taken.
Actualy my number one model will be a "captain america" bike like what peter fonda rode on easy rider but with a few changes.
the one that his mate rode will be developed shortley.

YOU love audio, so therefore your stereo modification is for YOUR enjoyment.

But why does a low car nessecarily have to be lowerd to impress 'shallow-minded onlookers'? Is it not marginally possible that a person actually likes the look of a low car themselves, hence chooses to have their car that way, not giving a rats arse about what anyone else thinks?

Tell me, in your insanly excessive audio installs, where company's charge you $12,000 for a set of speakers that $500 worth would have done the same job as far as you'll ever be aware, do you present them well? Fancy mounting locations/style, showing it off in the best way you can, especially in a SQ install, being that many SPL geeks don't give a shit what theirs looks like inside....

Sure i do. But only if it doesnt prove detrimental to the sonic result i'm trying to acheive. For the same reason, i have NO issues with nice subtle body kits or decent mods : so long as they have no detrimental effect, theres no reason not to do them. But i dont understand sacking : its taking a car and deliberately making it worse to drive, for the sake of looks.... THATS what i dont understand :)

Anyway, lets just agree to disagree, i'm sure you think i'm a loonbat for liking audio just the same as i think sacked car owners are loonbats, so lets just live and let live :) Still doesnt mean i have to like em ;)

(Oh and for the record, i'd never spend $12k in a million years on front speakers... but you can certainly hear the difference as you go up in price, with speakers anyway... with amps, etc, its debatable, but with speakers, its always audible... but like most things, you're paying 50% more for 5% improvement, just like with car mods :))

Back on topic....a Toyota Century, especially the later model ones with the V12...would look pretty mean, sacked on 24's :lol:

the v12 toyotas dont come cheap!

I saw a really nice 1981 Nissan Skyline with 17inch cromed mags and was around 35mm from the ground (fully legal)

It was jet black with dark tinted windows it looks da bomb!

No, they're not at all...but whats the point doing a cheap low rider, it'd just look tacky. I'm sorry, but I dont class an R30 Skyline as cool.

The rb30 skyline's look sweet when done up right.

What would be sweet would be cruzing up queen street on a chopper!!

I once remember seing a sweet 1999 alteza low rider with full hydralicts and boy was that thing low!.

Was also thinking maybe a b2000 or a ford f100/150 from aussie!
