What engines are easily transplanted in a Surf LN 130 that has a 2.4TE ?
What other toyota vehicles share the same type of rear window up/down switch of the Surf?
Owned Totota's for over 20 years..love Celica's & Supra's

I'm currently fitting a Rebuilt 2JZGE into my LN130 at the moment, a couple of months down the track its getting a large T04 fitted to it.
Mine was an auto, so i'm using a V6 Petrol 5spd g'box which is essentially a 4wd version of the R154 supra box

Hey Dude im up at partsworld i was chatting to you the other day bout that.
Have u found a flywheel yet? you could get one off a 2jzgte, and use a r154 clutch kit.
How many splines are on the r151? the r154 has 14 i think.
Good luck, when you get it finished i will give you a race!

Howsit, it seems there are a few people in the dismantling world kicking about on this forum, or at least in this thread anyway.

Flywheel is a 3VZE surf flywheel, milled the bolt pattern inwards 2mm each hole to fit the 2JZ crank. removed the ring gear, machined down ring gear seating area on flywheel and fitted a ST150 1S ring gear (295mm OD 115 teeth - same as a JZ flywheel runs) as far back on the flywheel as possible. Milled 5mm from front of start motor mounting face so the spigot is now 5mm into the block starter motor hole, and now everything meshes in the right places for it all to work right. Just waiting for my engineer to finish machining the 3VZE bell housing and the JZ auto bell housing so they can be welded together to give me the correct depth's etc for the input shaft to mate with the pilot bearing correctly. Am using a heavy duty VZN130 Surf Clutch, has 1900lb clamping pressure, but have since been told that i can actually use a GT4 pressure plate on my flywheel which has 2400lb clamping pressure.

Will definitly take some pics and note down what things we do to make it all happen
