alarm bypass

Postby Ae92typeX » Thu Jun 02, 2005 11:48 am

My mate has a camry (90's) which never came with a remote for the factory alarm, and suddenly decided to activate itself so it cant start.
before I go pulling it apart to bypass it, anyone got an easy way of getting by these factory imobalisers?
Feel free to pm me insted of posting here as it could potentially be a sore issue if we post up easy ways to get into cars lol

ok, its a 20 series then....

how many keys have you got?
the imobilisers in these work off a chip in the key.
you put the key in, the car detects it and allows it to start.
if thats not happening, the fault will be in the key or the system.
try another key, there is NO bypass for these..... so if that doesnt work its not an easy fix..... first thing to check would be the sensor in the ke barrel, make sure its not unplugged or something.

cheers for that.
He got it with one key...not an origonal!
Looks as though it is going into toyota in the next few days to get a new one I guess. I expect that will cost him a little, but the car was very cheep, so not the end of the world.
