m800, altezza 3sge with TRD manifold and vvti enabled

Postby Celica RA45 » Sun Jun 12, 2005 4:13 pm

just had my race motor dynoed it has 12to 1comp so can use 98 fuel 13mm cams also have forged rods as well as the pistons TRD inlet and extractors and i have vvti enabled as well so on a dyno dynamics dyno it makes 170 kws at 8700 rpm and in the torque in newtons it is over 3000 from 3500 rpm to 8000 rpm so a good torque line .The cams are moved 5 times in the inlet and only 2 in the exhaust from zero revs to 8800 red line and im using 7mgte injectors which are up to 75%duty cycle at the max so we are thinking at least 270 hp at the f/wheel and it still idles like a std motor thanks to the vvti ,so im happy it is the best result i have come up with ,with out vvti less torque and less kws 150 kws in locked in cams dialed in

Not bad!

You know I would really like to see some pics one of these days. 8)
Or a dyno plot would be nice too. :D

no im in the under 2 litre club cars ,most of the parts came from Bruce Sollitt your TRD agent ,the celica weighs in at 970 kilos before i get in it and im using a ta63 trd close ratio w57 box with Fseries TRD LSD and 4.6 diff ratio
also use the motec for logging and beacon as it draws a track at every circuit i run the car and has a speed sensor on the frt wheel to work out speeds and gears im in as well as the G force under brakes and in the turns

Sounds taste. I'll bet shes pretty responsive :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

So what unit do you have for the G sensor, the basic lap timer? or it it an external device that you run as an input the the Engine ecu?

Reason I ask is just getting into the motec stuff at the moment and we have got the dash with the sensor internallly?
Just waiting for the car to be finished so we can fit it and power it up?
