4K Operating Temp

Just wondering for anyone who is running a 4K...

Where abouts on the temp gauge does your 4K sit usually, and does it fluctuate much?

My 3K is a bit under half, gets up to half after a long hill and drops to a quarter or so on long downhills and so on. Thats with a brand new thermostat in.

Most cars half way seems to be operating temperature

Yes, I have just changed the thermostat and thats about how mine works now, used to have real issues warming up. Would sit on just about 'C' all the time. Just making sure its sitting in the right ranges now that its actually regulating some water flow...

my 4k in my ke70, sits at 1/4 gets up closer to 1/2 if on motorway for a decent distance or up hills. This is with a gl dash with the tacho, my old dash without a tacho and different temp guage it ran hotter on the scale.

oh fk up :), its sort of included, shes a 1256 pushrod after all :).

but anyway, running temp? well, since half would be where the thermo opens... and quarter would be slightly below that.

im guessing slightly below where the thermo opens, maybe 5 degrees?

Mine sits just a tad under half, in traffic she gets right up there though, the rad is pretty naffed. Will attempt to get a KE30 radiator to fit, and see what its like then.
This is with a 20k old thermo and coolant too btw.

not many differences.

either way, open the thermo housing, check what the thermo stat opens at, thats ur operating temp, roughly 1-5 degrees up or down...
