diff mount on st185

Postby goofy » Mon Jun 13, 2005 10:19 pm

How difficult do you think it would be to replace the rear diff mount on my GT4? Iv noticed some strange noises, so I had a look under the car and the diff mount is pretty much non-existant

To replace it takes about couple of hours.
To fix it (fill it with nolathane) costs $95 from Autolign
here is the complete guide
http://www.gtfours.co.uk/how_to/diff_bush/diff_bush.htm

btw it is the same for 185 as 165...

yep, what he said, I had one that had been urethaned and it disintegrated the first time I reversed the car! Took it in to autolign and they filled it with nolathane, stood up to plenty of abuse too :)

dont drive it much til you get it fixed , as you risk further damaging the mount itself once the bush is gone...i ha done on my old car unbolt in 2 pieces :?
