Maybe, cant say I'm familiar with the weights of the old KPs really. As far as KEs I was meaning the 10s and 20s which are both 800kgs under kinda thing.

What do the KPs weight out of curiosity?

Around 730-760kg depending on options etc. These are probably dry weights thought. Race versions have got close to 500kg with a fair bit of work so I've been informed from a reliable source.

My ke70 with two people, full tank of gass, cage and spare wheel weigh in at well over 1000kg. It would be great to be able to get to 500!

my TE71 with me ,tank of gas is 930kg so with navvie would be about 1000kg. it still needs lightening though, possibly 50-70 still to come out of it.

The KP we did Targa in last year came in at 945kg the 3 times we were weighed after stages. Had a Suzuki 1300 twincam in it then which it's still got but now he's stuck a turbo off a 300ZX on it. Goes a wee bit better now!! Had a problem at Targa Tauranga though - put a hole in No 1 piston when the valve head decided it wanted to have a closer look at the piston and then get bounced around. Was going well up till then.

Yeah I read about that, its a 5K turbo in a KE10...

im surprised the 5k can handle that much boost without shitting the bed
