3 point strut brace? extra rigidity?

when fitted i noticed the doors would creek as much when going up and down driveways with one of the rear wheels off the ground

sounds like a certain chevette i know of >.>

if your really worried, when the car has been a bit worn in (i dont know, few 1,000ks of thrashing lol), take it to a chassie strightener and have it checked... then you can see where your weak points really are....

hmmm, should've made the end plates higher so that the cross brace was straight and not bent, either that or used a thicker (taller) bar to compensate for the bends at either end, because those bends, particularly the sharper one on the driver's side, will bend more under load than you would think. It's still a good design, I just think it looks like they were attempting to make an "ultimate stiffness" brace, and could've done better Also the way that triangle has different angles on either side, coupled with the sharper bend on the driver's side, means the driver's side tower will have slightly more flex than the passenger side
Don't mind me, I'm just being pedantic

Valid points, however as yet I haven't seen an Altezza one without bends in it... Must be spatial limitations of the engine bay design.

yeh, ive been quotd 1500 to do one throuh to the towers, so thats what im gonna get

You have to start strengthening from the bottom up. Will also have cage tied through to strut towers and seam welding to go with these 3mm steel triangles at the base of the firewall.

Mine only set me back $900, so I stuck with a cheaper cage option . Not worth spending $1500 on a slow old AE92 sedan.
