hey guys my pressure plate exploded last weekend on my 4agze and destroyed everything i got a new gearbox, clutch kit, flywheel and radiator but it apears when the belhousing flew to pieces it broke off most of the pieces of the engine on the lower half that the gearbox bolts to. any1 got any sugestions on how i can solve this???????
is it repairable????

First time I've actually heard of this...

How exactly did the pressure plate explode? Could it be that it was the flywheel at all?

Do you have any pics of teh damage?

I've heard of the ring gear coming off the flywheel.

Sore the damage on a skyline..... cut steering, exhaust, firewall etc... was a mess....

Never heard of a pressure plate exploding though..

iv heard of them failing..... bits falling off etc, but never that much damage!

as for your problem, new block is the only way

KNow a guy who had the same thing happen on hi b18c... they welded and re tapped one or two mounting holes where the bellhousing bolts broke them
(also took out about a third of the bellhousing)

it wasnt the flywheel it was definatly the pressure plate cuz thers nufn left of it ill put sum pics up sn if i can figure out how
