Supra Turbos?

Postby RabidGinFairy » Mon Jul 04, 2005 6:52 pm

Hey all, wondering how easy and cost effective it is to replace/rebuild MK3 Supra turbos?? How much would it set you back approx for both the 1ggte and 7M types. Cheers, Monique

Rebuilding the CT12a turbos on the 1G-GTE is absolutely pointless and I think most places will not try to rebuild them in the first place.

The CT26 on the 7M however is rebuildable. Price range can vary depending on what sort of 'Upgrades' you're going to be putting in it. Anywhere from about 1K+ for a good rebuild with good quality internals I'd say.

back when I had mine, I was quoted 800-1000 to rully rebuild EACH CT12 for the 1ggte. I ended up getting some low mileage ones for $500 or 600.
single turbo would be the track I would take if I was to do it again.
Cant believe im still a member here.

yep, alltech are good, an alternative is new ones.
based on silent knights estimate id say new turbos would be a better way to go

hO shit my bad....typo :P

As been said above don't bother with rebuilding the CT12s from a 1G. Going single will be allot more cost effective and there are various options available that are not too pricey.

Go to:

http://www.importbitz.com/turbo.htm

They have various full single turbo kits on sale for the 1G and they are not all too pricey. I am however unsure of how much freight cost will be from auzzie but I don't suspect it will be too much.

If you are going to rebuild the CT26 off of the 7M there are various good upgrade options available for the CT26 wich would be considered a cost effective upgrade.

Again contact the people at Alltech as they really know their shit and they have done a good couple of these upgrades on CT26s
