\Because to put a rollcage into it will be starting from scratch, and there are parts missing on it, not to mention it's de-reg. I want to drive the one with cage in to events.

i got a fellow TSer helping me out. NOT doing the dodge with plates etc, as the parts car is a bit rusty!! Not to mention few other things. I picked the caged car for $600 with ALOT of spares with cage etc in it, homologated etc and authority card

OKay just an update on the fxgt, it's been repaired and all straight in front, just bolting things back onto it. Was good turn around (thanks to panel beater's worker next door) took about 1 or 2 weeks from dropping off to him to picking up, i'll put a link to pics of it in it's current state.
Pretty much front cut off other donor car was used and just needed to drill holes for clutch master cylinder (donor front was off auto).
So just a few things to do like put drivetrain from ae92 gtz into it and couple other things. Nothing i can't handle.

keep your eyes peeled on the tenders column. a guy i work for got one for $150 needing R/H guard and door, but was written off. i'm sure there are plenty of others, the market value isn't great so minor damage writes them off.

Best bet is to get one out of buy sell down here, there was one (tropuble is was de-reg in the end) sold for $700 with engine etc just needed a front radiator support panel straighten and some work done to front of it.

Keep your eyes peeled for a standard one, they do come along every once in a while. I've got some more pics of mine in it's current state have to update my link to compare the differences for before and after.
