Brake Ducts AE86

Post by beeker »

So i'm thinking of installing some brake cooling ducks on my Ae86 Targa car.

Anyone done this and got some tips or preferably pics ?

Also, anyone got a good source for some tidy looking front end bolt on scoop style air feeds for the piping ?

thx in advance.

Try PM'ing nzae86. I think it's him in Hamilton who does some really good high quality GRP stuff such as front air dams.

Make sure you feed the air to the centre of the disc, it them flows out of the vents cooling from the inside.

I do remember a few years back..... on the targa a car had a bird unluckily travel up the brake duct and become minced by the slotted rotor at the other end. Caused some braking ossues for the driver as the feathers/blood & guts caused the brakes to no work so well on that side.....................Brake Duck .........lol :)
