Postby SIDE_FX » Sat Jul 16, 2005 2:59 am

ok when i turn my wheel its all good then it gets really hard then clicks and does this twice on the way from dead centre to full lock (i guess once every full turn) and am kinda worried bout it since it does spin back thus could end in a crash, any ideas, the noise come from under the steering shaft surround, is a PS have checked to see if belt has come off and appears not to have

Hmm, what car?

And are you sure it's got nothing to do with your tyres touching something?

Best thing is to take it to a garage as soon as you can aye, wouldn't want to end up hurting yourself and your car!

Good luck.

So is it when you turn the wheel or is it when you've already turned the wheel and you're moving?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

If its not catching externally, perhaps either the connection to the rack is loose and slipping, or the rack itself damaged internally...
Cant believe im still a member here.

wheel weight. you have probably now ripped it off the rim, hence no noise.
