He must be able to get Penrite at some good price so he has suggested Penrite gear oil. The BGB reccomends 75/90 with a GL4 or 5 rating which I believe the Penrite is.

The old man is kindly putting my replacement gearbox in my car

Yeap Penrite is sweet, I use it in a c52 fwd box in my road car & we use it in heaps of customer cars without any major problems including evo's,rx7,skylines etc & have yet to have any problems. Have no idea on cost of it as I just take what I need.
