Are there any advantages removing the supply pipe to the air box on a blacktop trueno? a mate of mine reckons that the resonator box provides low intake noise and more low end torque, is this fact or crap?

Resos in intake trapts

If before air box its for lowering noise
if after air box its for torque @ x rpm.
