Lets just say, some very expensive flow testing software fell out of the back of a truck, and leave it at that.

EDIT: I added a pressure bar, so it might make sense. :)

Im still learning how to use it, I have no idea what speed it is travelling at, among other things.

But ive only been playing for a few hours so far.

But Im pretty happy to have gotten to this stage.
It is at least better than my MSpaint(TM) windtunnel testing. 8)

After you figure out how to use it then you need to make the object as real as you can get it especially detals like the rake, and perhaps include an engine and some of the underbody plastic.

Don't suppose it has 3-D capabilities? Not that you'd want to do a 3D mesh though.

This image might be a good starting point

Yes the program does have 3d capabilites.

It appears to be pretty powerful. 8O

I know what you are saying, Ive just started out with a rough model until I can get things up and running.

Cheers for the pic!
Ive been looking for something like that.

More pretty colours. :D

I still havent drawn a more accurate model, but it would seem that it is more interesting when you can see both the air velocity and air pressure.

And I quickly added a few bits and bobs to the car. :)

BTW for those of you who are curious, the units are pascals, and metres per second. 100kph = 27.7 metres per second, and atmospheric pressure in this model is approx 101kpa.

You can also see, compared to the other pic up the top that the pressure under the car at the front has dropped considerably with the rad air being vented upwards.

Of course this isnt anywhere near an accurate test, but its nice to see that the concept works, and Im having fun playing with this program. :)

previously the pressure under the car at the front was hovering around the 103 kpa mark, and now its down to around 100. 8O
Which means downforce instead of lift.
Also the pressure under the car everywhere has dropped considerably.
(Lower than atmospheric pressure under most of the vehicle)

Work on revision 2 has begun. :D

Since this wasnt drawn in microsoft paint this time around, it might almost be accurate. :D

No, No, No... with all the air that monster will suck you'll ruin the flow, or maybe create a suction car

MR2OC mode 1

Aaaah yes, I think we are on to something here!

THAT is the reason why a 450HP CT26 powered car is so slow!
It sucks the car to the ground SO hard, the thing can barely overcome the friction to move at all!. :D

So your probably getting AT LEAST 60% transmission loss, thats why they read low on dynos. :D
