i have a PSOne, Xbox, ans PS2...and in my opinion the Xbox is a far better console. Its more pwoerful, the games (in my opinion) r more entertaining, its good value for money, dvd capability is slightly better than PS2.
Im taking my PS2 in to the shop to sell tomoorw, as i jsut never play it, well for that fact, i hardly play any of them anymore.
But i do agree, converting a PS fan to use a MS system, is a challenge, and you cant beat the GT series. But after a bit of time on the Xbox, ull find that game wise now, its just aas good, if not better than PS...and keep in mind, it is MICROSOFT we're talking about, they can get any game designer they want..after all..would u turn down a job to work at microsoft ? :)

You left out the Sega MegaDrive II.

I may be a minority on this but Sonic The Hedgehog all the way, sigh, childhood memories, countless hours of vegging out in front of the tv, watching a blue ball collect rings and shoot around the screen. :roll:

I think you guys are missing something really important here... If a console does not sell very well then its destined to fail (e.g Sega Dreamcast)

I will not deny Xbox has better graphics BUT it does not mean it is better. Everyday PS2 sells more consoles than all the others put together. 40 Million sold so far and I cant see Xbox beating it in a very long time.

All I have to say is "If Xbox is so good then why does an inferior (PS2) console still outsell it?"

I dont care what games Xbox has Nothing grabs me gamewise from Xbox but GT3 Tekken 4 GTA3 VC and The Getaway are all my favs

Time will tell bring on the PS3 in 2005

Because Sony has made a very good name for themselves [MS kinda has too] and PS2 was released alot earlier than Xbox. Also PS2 has Heaps of frick'n games at the moment, so what are most people gonna buy, the console with the best graphics and least games, or the console with the most games and not so great graphics. Although this year should bring alot of good games to Xbox. I think when the new Xbox will be released MS will have made alot bigger name for themselves in the gaming community, which will make them much more competitive [they are already] and being that they're MS, they'll dominate whatever and whoever they want to.

Just keep in mind. Windows Sucks Ass,

Xbox has it's own version of windows.

I've been in the PC field for 9 years now, I'm not touching an xbox.

it has a bloody built-in hard drive - it's just a portable pc, only you can't just reinstall windows in the event of a problem.

PS/2 Anyday...

Ive not seen an Xbox version of Windows ?
I do know you can install Linux if you have the ‘‘Matrix’’ mod chip.
Also, Ive had hardly any trouble with Windows [98 se, quite stable] and having a built in hard drive is the shit man ! why the hell pay $80 bucks for a memory card ? The controllers on PS2 suck too, DVD playback is shitty and the loading times slow. The only thing going for it are its size and mass of games [alot of which are lame]

ever tried windows ME? it sucks ass! Got xp professional now after going through crash afetr crash with me, XP is so much better! faster and a lot more stable!!

but yeah, wheres the c64 (although not strictly a console). & what about the dreamcast- quite a few games on the game cube were out on the dc years ago.

And why do you say that?? MS as a global company is nothing compared to Sony, Sony makes just over $60 Billion dollars a year compared to Microsofts $25 Billion. If there is going to be a winner in this war believe me IT WILL BE SONY.
