light bulbs gone bung...

in my sw20 about a month ago, the drivers side headlamp bulb blew. so i replaced it with some narva +50's. now the drivers side has gone really dull... like its on park or sumthin, but the park lights arent in the headlamp... sw20 owners will know what i mean :P


any ideas?

Did you touch the bulb by anychance ...

Sounds like your bulb is slowly on it way out already .... Generally caused by accidentally touching the glass ..

check your fuses... chances are you blew that ;)

But if you blew the fuse then the light wouldn't go at all ...

Yes it would, does the same thing in my car now i think of it. Check fuses first :)

The bulbs are sealed beams, so can't touch the bulbs. That rule doesn't apply to halogen lamps though.

Sounds as if the filament is partially burnt out. Means death is soon around the corner!

yea, I'd check all the earths and plugs are clean as. have had similar experiences on many cars with rusty/dirty contacts and earths.

Do you mean the rule of you can't touch the lamps doesn't apply to halogen lamps??
