Another thing you have to think about, is that on a dyno is a lot different to when you are actually travelling at speed.

I mean in a real life situation you may have placed your intake in a high pressure zone, or somewhere with good airflow. But this cant be replicated exactly on a dyno. Even if there is a big fan blowing, its not the same as the effect you would get if the car was actually travelling at that speed.

But... yes that seems strangely low regardless. Even for a 20v

Anyway that's all just a BS guestimate, unless you use an engine dyno, and it has no relevance in the real world, HP at the wheels is what counts. Good for ego inflation though ,eh?

not in my case! ran the ae101 on a chassis dyno in the weekend....
a whopping 51kw at the wheels 8O :?
seeing as theres nothing actually wrong with my car im gunna say its a rather low reading dyno!

Nonono, you've got it all wrong, that's 51kW per wheel, so 102kW total which equates to approximately 250bhp Image

haha actually i think 102kw is probably closer to what it really is (at fly) stock. i was expecting high 70 to 90kw atw. i dont thin its airflow loosing that power! itll be the dyno

don't worry, when you're in aucks for mega meet you can put it on the Torque Performance dyno. A stock blue top will put out about 80-90kW ATW there :D

i got the highest at the nelson dyno w00t w00t. a whopping 133.3kw  . but i was 10kw down on what a stock MR2 gt gets on a Torque performance dyno.. so i add another 20% to my figure to make it sound like a torque performance figure 8)

Yeah, you guys should definitely come up to Auckland, and get them dynod here. Once you get your car dynoed with an extra 39kw, it will feel sooooo much faster.
