4AGE Idle

Quick question... what's a healthy idle for a blacktop 4age... cold start and after warming up...

mine is like 1500 rpm cold start
drops to about 1000 rpm after warmed up...

is that about right? because someone said my engine is idling too high and i should get it checked

Probably a bit high. 1250 or so cold and 800 warm would be about perfect. 1500 might not be bad, but a bit under 1000 is right for warm

my subaru leone:

Cold, 2800odd rpm
Hot, 750odd rpm, dropping to 500 at times.

WHOS GOT A HEALTHY ENGINE :D

in short, dont stress, thats not that high at all.. I think my BT idled around 1500mark... (cold)...

so is my bzg, cold start engine 1500rpm, warm up 1000rpm, hot 800rpm... when the engine is hot, sometimes it idle with slight vibration, i can see the rev went down to around 600 ~ 700rpm 8O
