Ahh yea, they're a customer of ours. I was in there trying to find the source of their high internet useage. Turns out to be this guy with a laptop with sshhiiiiiiiiiit loads of spyware and adware on it! And he's only had the bloody thing for 2 months!
Oh, and he goes to Destiny Church. So of course he would be none the wiser

doing the strip down of my 86 and one of those stands would be mighty handy.
is the car going to be for racing only or road/race?

Yeah the stand is home made with a couple of hubs for pivot points made preping the shell so much easier. the shell was media blasted back to bare metal, and then etch primed and painted in the PPG paint system. I built this car to replace my tarmac rally car that passed away at high speed last year.
Here are another couple of images of the shell now it's been painted, and also a picture of my toybox.

Anyhoo, Is that a nice set of Whiteline Springs and Blistein's going on in there aye? Should do the job. I was looking at the TRD website the other night and there's some nice new susp. setups in there for AE86's (and AE111's too).

Hell no! this shell is totaly rust free, the old blue beast got donated to science, some where below ground level

Thanks Yeah have done nearly all the work myself, form chipping the underseal off ,building the cage ,sent it off to be media blasted which removes all the paint but not underseal (the shell came back a bright shiny peice of tin), etch primed the whole shell with PPG DP40, then primed it blocked it back and sent it to a painter to apply the top coats, the underside of the car is as shiney as the top,used PPG Delfleet as it is a very durable paint and gives an awesome finish.
I haven't recorded how long I have spent on it but the difference between doing it properly and almost getting there is not alot time wise but the end result speaks for it's self.
And yes you can spend a lot of money on a AE86!!!
