97 Celica rr Windscreen Issues - Please Help!

Postby Drfsta » Tue Aug 23, 2005 7:41 pm

Hi guys, my step mum has a problem with her 97 Celica convertable. The rear windscreen glass, (where it meets with the fabric) is perishing and the fabric is peeling away from the glass. How would you go about repairing this and has anyone here had similar problems??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers :D

Is the window plastic? if so have the window replaced by a motor trimmer/car upholstery shop in your area.I have done a few 1992-3ish Celicas, they did a similar thing, its just an aging thing.

yeah we have glued the fabric back onto the glass with urethane glue(windscreen glue),can be tricky and messy, but works and looks OK.
