AE-101 4-AGE AFM

Air flow meter (talking about the srew under the black, rubber cover to the right of the black section before throttle body) :

Who knows if it's clockwise or anti-clockwise to increase/reduce resistance to let more or less air through when the accelerator pedal goes down?

does not work that way, if you are talking about the screw, it is there for idle fuel mixture adjustment.

wind it out = loosen?

yeah rev i'm a bit suss about playing with it, an AA mechanic reccomended i play with it if my car plays up . . .

yeah the toyota manual states they should not need touching once they leave the factory. why did he say to adjust it?
they are pretty much set at the factory on a flow bench

yep dont touch it it has that plug so you wont tamper with it. Theres no procedure to get it back where it should be

well actually there is...
there is a number stamped next to it. thats the distance down the hole the top of the screw should be.
eg if its stamped 14. it should 14mm down.
but still best not to touch it
