Frequency response is :

the range (according to the manufacturer) of frequencies that the speaker can produce.
ie 18hz-2khz for a sub means the lowest frequency it can produce is 18hz (below the range of human hearing, but you can still feel it) and the highest frequency it can produce is 2khz. (which is quite high for a sub)

for a sub you want low frequency response
for a mid you want an average frequency response
for a tweeter you want a high frequency response

Note: human hearing is approximately between 20Hz to 20 Khz.
(depends on the person, those are usually the maximum though)

Sensitivity is:
measured in dB per watts per meter.

So if you had two speakers and you stood 1m apart from each and you put exactly the same signal (volume power etc) through them, the one with an 89dB sensitivity would be quieter than one with a 91dB sensitivity.

ie the higher the sensitivity the the louder it would be for the same powered signal. (according to the manufacturer)

Is this for interest sakes or are you comparing some speakers you wish to purchase?

wow dude thats a fairly limited budget, maybe just get some decent front speakers and forget the rears for now. http://www.parallelimported.co.nz/search.php?category=Speakers&main_category=Car%20Audio&mid=1&m2id=3&pos=3

nice set of JBL components for $150 mark there, youd probly find they still distory unless you amp them tho.

Just my 2cents. :)
