Dude, how high you rev doesnt effect your gearbox so much. Its shifting fast and hard, dropping the clutch, suden jolts through the driveline.

Learn how things work before you start trying things.

It wont be hard at all to fit the 4efte gearbox, id say its the exact same dimentions as the 2e gearbox, however will probbaly just have a stronger (and not to mention different) gearset. Along with the chance of an LSD

Rember to change the gearbox fluid when you chuck it in before taking her for a drive hahaha :D

Fuel rail? will come with the engine id say.

New fuel pump will be required, whats with people and putting later model cars fuel pumps in? why not just buy a new one...

$200odd for a fuel pump that will be sufficent, however if you really want, go find a vl commodore one.

the fuel lining? the lines you mean, i got $50 saying the commodore lining wont fit a corolla, im not sure who you would go and see about that, i was planning on doing it to a cynos, so it was EFI already, and the fuel rail, etc everything just bolts together, so i didnt focus on it, (bar maybe an aftermarket fuel pump for later on).

Um, anyone on here help with Fuel Lines?

Youll need about 8mm, it needs to be steel, and its really hard to find in less than a 10m roll. But you can use bundy tubing from BNT. Its not really cheap, you also need a pipe bender and quite a bit of rubber EFI hose, thats really expensive too.

Dont use copper... use what fuel line is ment to made from :).

EFI hose you can get from ENZED, however its not cheap.

Erm, are you SERIOUSLY thinking about doing this your self? its not as easy as it sounds.... Not being offiensive, but you sound a little... unexperienced...

I found the spec from internet
that it saying

4E-FTE DOHC 4/25 89- 1331* 133@6400 116@4800 74 77.4 8.2:1
4E-FTE DOHC 4/25 98 1331 135@6400 116@4800 74 77.4 8.2:1

4A-GE DOHC 5+VVT 91-98+ 1587 165@7800 120@5600 81 77 11.0:1 AFM, VVT
4A-GE DOHC 4/50 91-92 1587 130@6800 105@6000 3.19 3.03 10.3:1

U r quite rite I have driven fxgt's b4 and it spew its real power after aroun high 4k to 7k rpm and i found that 4EFTE's tourque is very close to 20v's tourque and it comes quite lower than 4A

My mate has Black top 20v engine in his AE92 FXGT and if i drop 4EFTE would i be able to hunt some FXGT arses and some VTECS? :D lol jokes don worry about this paragraph

Dont just compare engines on paper, it tells you bugger all in the scheme of things. Take both for a drive and see what they are like on the road.

Bundy tubing isn't too badly priced, couldn't give you a figure off the top of my head though. EFI hose is around the $40 per metre mark so you probably dont want too much of it. BNT/Repco should be able to supply that as well as most hose supply places such as Enzed. Look in the phone book for BNT if you dont know what it is
