Fastest 4 series stock engine

Postby Primo » Sat Aug 27, 2005 7:02 pm

Im kinda lost and if following engines went in to 1990 corolla what would make most juice out of it? n easy to put in. I only listed 4efte 4age red, blue and silver because thats my budget limit... :D
When i was 16 it used to be $25 for a full tank

Now it cost $45+ for a full tank

stock for stock, my moneys on the 100kw small port redtop.

But why you ask, putting in a 4age is harder than a 4efte, and for *go fast cheaply* as it seems you want (having a budget and all) the 4efte is for you.

Turbo is more fun anyway ^_^.

Why dont you just sell it and buy a 4age corrolla,
then everything is already done for you and it would save you heaps of $$$ which you could spend on making it even quicker or whatever you want.

But if you HAVE to do a transplant then 4EFTE would be easiest and make approx the same HP as any of the others, also easier (ie cheaper) to make it more grunty, if you wanted to increase HP later.

4 series? I think you're a little confused. The 4 just means 4th evolution of that series of engine (ie A series; E series)

theres ya problem, 2 very different things.

The internet is capiable of taking FULL words, where as texting is limited to 160chars per text.

True, we do skimp on some words, but 90% of the words we type in are EASILY legable. Putting it all in text language (or most) makes it very hard to understand.

In short, Dont be lazy.

grr.. If you cant afford the motor, you cant afford to put it in.

If you have to ask all these questions, you wont physically be able to put it in yourself.

Save some money, learn what youre doing, instead of making numerous posts about the same thing. There must be hundreds of topics here relating to your questions. Even read peoples profiles. Mine shows everything I used to put an EFI motor into a carby'd car.

Save some money and wait a while till you have more knowledge.

Go for a redtop smallport if you're gonna do it. I spent sunday racing at manfeild and my redtop can beat both a standard 4efte starlet and a silvertop 101 in a straight line.

4EFTE good engine and not hard to get some decent power out of..
All depend's on how much money you will have to do the transplant really..
