Can anyone confirm if the Gen III 3S GTE & GE cams are the same?

They are different. Don't have numbers handy though.

I know of one rally car that ran the 3S-GE cams for more lift (?).

aaahh it appears some are....

st205 and st202 ss3 celica use the same inlet cam up till end of 97...

is there a specific version of those you want to know about? eg sw20 or celica? cause it looks like the sw20 has a different intake cam from the celica, but the same exhaust

so from a brief look:
sw20 + st202 same exhaust
st205 + st202 same intake

note the sw20 i looked at was the n/a version

Thats weird! I wouldnt have thought they would have different cams depending on which vehicle it went in.

I suppose you need more torque to pull around a celica. :P

Just looking at potential options. Will be getting Lyn Rogers to gas flow the cylinder head but we have yet to decide on cam specs. Don't want something too excessive - I'm after mid range rather than top end. Maybe something like a 262 deg?
