Mr Revhead says there are two types of camshafts for 16V 4AGE's.
One of them being 240 degree, the other being 232 degree.
Bluetop TVIS = 240
Red Top TVIS = 232
Red Top SmallPort = 232
GZE = 232
Why did toyota give the red top tvis the big port head, and then give it the cam shaft with the lower duration? Doesnt that just seem daft going against the flow characterists and head design, when the blue top seemed fine with the bigger cams, they made the red top TVIS extra crap with smaller cams.
What gain roughly can be had from using the 240 camshafts in a motor that originally had 232 camshafts? Probaly only a few horsies but it all adds up.
And with cam timing settings, does anyone know any that differ from these on Club4ag
For more bottom end power retard the exhaust 4° and advance the intake 3°. For more top end, advance intake 4°and exhaust 3° from stock settings.
