TOYOTA LEVIN BZR/BZG SPECIFICATION

Postby speed_revolution » Wed Aug 31, 2005 9:51 pm

Hello, I was wandering if someone can give me links to specification/ technical data of Levin BZR or BZG (ae111)?
How is BZR or BZG compared to an non turbo 2.0cc MR2?

It would be great if someone can provide me following details;

1. Power (Kw, HP, BHP)
2. Torque (kg,nm)
3. weight of the car
4. power to weight ratio (preferable in bhp/ton)

that would be great, thank you. I c done some research and tried searching but not a single luck for me.

HP (kw): 0.0006 (too damned small, can't be f**ked figureing it out) @ 16500rpm

Torque (nm): Itd be faster to walk (trust me) @ some insanerpm

0 - 100km/hr: How long you got?

100 - 0km/hr: N/A (still waiting to hit 100kph )

Why are you looking at buying one? The levin would be faster than a early sw20 mr2 non turbo. Dont know about the later ones as the beefed the power up a bit.
As for bz-r vs. bz-g i think it would come down to how much money you have in your pocket at the time. Buying a later model car will cost you more and BZ-R came into production in 1997 were as a BZ-G started in 1995, but i guess you know that if you've been looking at them. Do you really need that extra gear? and is it worth paying a couple of grand more for it?
If you wate until after the honda vs toyota drags i might give you a better idea of what is fastest. ( in a straight line anyway)

id take the mr2, but thats just me, i like torque :D (well, more than the 1.6 offers, thus why i got a supacharga!)

anyway, an early model mr2 n/a would be equal with a 20v id say, they have a smoother torque graph, and wont feel as quick as the 20v, but imho, id say they are pretty close.

(20v rising up at the end suddenly, giving that *woah, this is going quick* sensation.. for a 1.6 anyawy haha :D)

later model mr2 (very very late model) would destroy a bz-r / bz-g, but then again, thats the beams engine now isnt it ^_^. and they go for $12-20k.

But then again, id rather that over a bz-g anyday. But im a bit bias again.

mmmmm redtop beams mr2 tasty, bye bye 20V :P

hi all. well. i would say the BZ-R would beat a MR2 non turbo (except the ones with beams engine) and i have proven it too (not because I own a BZR)

When i first got my first BZR, when i was still 17 me and my friends where always comparing my BZR with my mates MR2 3SGE. My mate keep saying he would beat me down a straight road because his produce 180hps stock and the blacktop only does 165.

so me and my mate along with some other friends went to whitford (don't tell me off for speeding, I was only 17 back then) where there is a 4kms straight road. We stopped our cars, and our friends counted down and we did a drag.

At launch the MR2 beat me and i actually skid my tires too. But then after 3rd gear on my car, I have already pass the MR2 and passing away from his car further. At the end i beat him about 2 car lengths..

everyone was surprise, even I was, as I never really expected to beat his car.

Well thts one unofficial test done. And back then both our cars done only about 60,000ks on the clock. So I say condition of the engine would be around the same.

Thts my opinion

besides, a bz-r vs an mr2 n/a, do we live in america? do we only travel in stright lines.

its all in the corners. AND i know what id pick in the corners TOO :D.

that would depend on the road, and the driver.

i spoke with a friend who owned the non turbo mr2 and said it would grab well but when it let go my god did it let go ?
but i havent driven one for myself so im abit biased as well but a well set up ae111 would give a good fight id say depending on driver etc and road conditions.
