Fuel injection?

wen im driving the car and its at low revs, between about 800-4600rpm its all slow and laggy, but as soon as i hit just over 4600rpm the car just takes off like it normaly does. Why is this? i have a 4age in a ae82.
We no its not cam timing, or sparkplugs or the spark timing

started to after we did the headgasket on it, we had it fixed but the next mornin it was back to the problem again

Thatd most likely be your TVIS solenoid, makes them a bit sluggish and overfueled down low, then all of a sudden it goes mint when the fuel map changes.

My guess would be TVIS as well. You sure you haven't dropped a vacuum line/ wire?

the mechamic i did it with looked everything over and we couldnt find anything missing, unless 2 wires/plugs/hoses might be switched?

Replace it, under the inlet manifold you will find it, it is small and green, its attatched to a big plastic cylinder, and also to the middle of the TVIS plate.
If you remove the vacuum hose from the TVIS plate, put your finger over the end and give it a rev, you should feel a change in the pressure of the hose. (along those lines)

Im just assuming this is the problem as thats what it sounds like, just one thing you could try.

well now my car wont idle nor rev or move? hmmm get a 4agze :) problem solved

if it just died (without touching anything), maybe faulty fuel pump?

i dunno, but i dnt really mind its rooted, just means i can put a new engine in sooner :P
now my problem is to choose between...
