Car alarms..

Postby Victoria » Wed Sep 07, 2005 3:15 pm

Ive had a good look thru the 'Car Audio / Security' section.. but couldnt find n e thing about a good reasonable car alarm, not too expencive... but with a good rep.. i keep having a dream that my car gets stolen... so ive decided i better get an alarm just in case...
Or if n e one can point me in the direction of a helpful place i can go to to find the rite car alarm for me. (In Wellington.. or Christchurch)
Thanks!

I like Dynatron.... Upper Hutt Car Audio, or Car Stereo Company do them.

Most of all, i like the fact they'll pay your insurance excess if your car goes walkies

dynatron had a deal with nzi, $0 excess...but recently when renewing my insurance, no one seemed to know anything about it. now they say that the only reason they'll even insure my car is because of the alarm installed, nothing about free excess though.

Try John Wallace at Installer Services Capital City 04 939 1071 or 021 441 700, back of the basin reserve behind the McDonalds.

He has done a couple of alarms for me and a few of my mates the installs are great and come with a 25 year warranty, I belive he can, as I understand it, source dynatron, mongoose and many other brands. He also does nifty accessories like door and boot solenoids (for that handleless opening look) and bonnet and boot rachets.

Tell him John with the black FX put you on to him and mentioned maybe a discount (10% ish).
