20v question

i have just brought a 20v that came out of a car that was auto.

what problems am i gunna have putting and converting it to my ke70 sedan thats ofcourse gunna be manual

your going to have many problems! I get so many pms about this I have done this in a few rwd's, I like the 20v as they are cheap and go not to bad.
First get a cross member out of an ae85 and some rwd 4ag mounts so you can drop the engine in.Then you'll need to find a k50 out of an ae85 or a t50 and a bellhousing out of an rwd A series car (carina corona ae86 etc). Use a rwd backing plate make sure you put in a spigout bearing in and use what ever 4age flywheel you have(do a search for k50,t50 info if you need it).
Next you'll have to decide what to do with the dizzy and thermostat housing which want to sit in your firewall. The easiest is to just bash the hell out of your firewall. I made a dizzy relocator but dont have time to make any more at the moment. The thermostat housing sticks out the most so you can use a rwd water pump and re-route the flow I've done this so pm if you need a hand. If its a silvertop you will have to create a plenum chamber or mod the factory so you can use the afm and idle up. The wiring is simple you just have to lengthen a few and chop a whole lot out check out http://www.club4ag.com for pin diagrams.
At the moment i run a megasquirt and coil packs which saves alot of hassle. I have left alot of stuff out so ask as you get there, im taking a bunch of pics and hopefully going to make an faq on this stuff

i have done my research on how to mod the motor to fit such as the firewall trick for the dizzy and so on.

what im asking is am i going to have to change the loom slightly and what about the flywheel, will it work with a manual g/box and ecu would have to be a manual ecu right...

i know of the actual engine and engine bay mods and fuel ect ect been planning this for a couple of weeks and have purchased an engine.

You wern't specific in your question so I just said it all. Your going to have to find a flywheel obviously throw the flexy plate and tourqe converter in the bin. Any 4age flywheel will do, they have the same size ring gear just 20v ones went to a larger clutch if you feel you need it, and the blacktop ones are the lightest.
the loom only needs to be extended for its new layout which is easy just go one wire at a time heaps arn't used. a manual ecu is the go but auto can be tricked I believe.
The thing with the firewall bashing trick is you have to pretty much pull your motor out to get to the dizzy. and when you sit it in there that thermostat housing sits along way back its alot of bashing. Then you get nice water lines going over your headers yum!

There are two ways to get around it make up a custom block at the back ( can be done cheaply if you look into it) and route the water under the throttle bodies with an inline thermostat. Or use the rwd pump and reverse the flow they both work well I've done both
