4age computer in diagnostics mode?

Postby ants_ae92 » Fri Sep 09, 2005 1:00 pm

Just wondering what exactly would a 4age tvis computer do when it is running in diagnostics mode? I mean would it cut timing? run it only in closed or open loop?

Just interested as it could be an option for me running a tvis motor with a td04 or other small turbo?

I can find the diagnostics box on my ae92 levin, but don't know how to do it, how do you run it in diagnostics mode?

Im not 100% sure, but I thought all it did was aleart you/ help you read any malfunctions in the system. No idea if it changes any of the running operation.none of my written material suggests either way.
Really, for running a turbo, if you dont go gze ecu or aftermarket (both a better option) you would want to manually alter the timing and get more fuel by other means than say putting an ecu into a check mode.
to put in diagnosis, off the top of my head bridge te1 e1
Cant believe im still a member here.

Yeah I have considered going gze ecu as well.

Does anyone else know what the ecu will do in diagnostics mode?
