Te whangana and NCEA screw up
Interest free loans (while I know this would advantage me I think it would be bad for the country and increase the number of numbnuts at uni)

However, I fear National could make just as many mistakes so I will probably vote for a minor party which I hope will keep either of the two from causing too much damage.

Where to start. The first three issues you listed were done via a CONSCIENCE vote where EVERY member of paliament votes and not on party lines. But yeah blame the labour party anyway

Only 15% of people go on to univeristy education. Thats not all that much at all. As for the interest free loans its great and will help many more people with the cost of university. Don't even try to argue with me that you believe studetns will borrow more out of it and get into more debt as hopefully you have the intelligence to know thats incorrect....

The proposed scheme is talking interest free tertiary education loans, not just university education...there are already enough dicks who enrol in Polytec just to collect a weekly pay and never turn up to classes...making it so that they have to pay even less of that money back is bound to attract more people into that style of life...

I think you are repeating media tripe. Previous to this he was Reserve Bank Governer for 14 years, he has a PhD in economics and a BA in History and Polictical science. Experience can only be gained by time in the business and perserverance, he left a lot behind to enter politics, probably 9/10ths of his salary and I think he's doing an ok job. Even if they don't win the Election, which they might actually do, he took the Party from being half as popular as Labour to level and now current polling shows them ahead.

On the other hand Helen has more political experience years than those you've been alive for and I suspect you're a little older than 8. It was 6 years ago we put her in too. Not me though, I didn't vote for her!

In this case its the usual "OMG he made an intelligent comment in an intellectual argument lets quickly assume he cant foot it in the work place". JT posted alot of incorrect information and down right ignorant statements and I correcte them.

As for your argument. The student allowance is less than the dole in most circumstances. So its not that much of an attractive way of making money dude. The fact is currently there is no interest on student loans while studying and people still do not take out the full amount they can

I think you'll find that the dole is actually pretty similar, depending on your circumstances, then there's the fact that you have to actively look for jobs to recieve the dole, as well as sometimes engage in part-time work-for-the-dole jobs. Maybe you're getting confused with the sickness benefit, which is a whole new kettle of fish.

Whereas with a student loan/allowance, its free money for the time being...you can just sit back and drink/smoke your day's away...and if you truely believe that shitloads of people don't do that, and then also believe more won't do that if they have to pay no interest...then that word you so love, just describes yourself...

The idea isn't to 'make money' as you put it, the idea is to do nothing...
