What causes more arguements? Politics or Religion?

Postby bad20v » Wed Sep 14, 2005 3:13 pm

There are two things in this world of ours that cause more arguements/wars than anything else. But which one do think is worse and causes more of them? They are pretty much intertwined so much that its hard to distinguish them apart from each other. But anyway lets see how we go. :D
Your Opinion Means 1/16th Of Stuff All To Me So Dont Bother Arguing With Me About It As I Just Dont Care.

Thank-You.

Well I think most of the wars happening these days are about religious issues.
Anger is seldom without argument but seldom with a good one.

I voted religion as politics is only for a short time every year and more so in election year.

"People often ask me why I spend a great deal of time denouncing and disproving the Bible. Although I can't offer an exact reason, my passion is probably driven by the salient danger created by Christianity and its subsequent influence on nearly two billion people every day. While the evil forces of certain deceitful religions have somewhat subsided in more recent times, the hatred inadvertently generated by these belief systems remains the greatest threat to humankind's continued existence.

Remember, there are hundreds of millions of people in the world who claim to believe every word in the Bible (even though they haven't read it). Why? Because at one time someone told them it was true.

And then there are charlatans like Pat Robertson who have actually read it -- and still claim to believe every word in it. Why? Because fear is an easy way to control non-thinking people -- and there are lots of them in this world."

And thats just one of 450006959538 different types of religions....

Its just so...... primitive....

Clearly its religion... its always causing arguments and wars..
its a complete joke to me.

Why waste your time believing in something so strongly.. that you are unable to prove?

Had a fair few good arguments with christians before.
One of them actually started pushing me around when i suggested that perhaps evolution was a little bit more realistic !

I'd like to think if i was raised under religion i would have broken through its brainwashing by my teenage years. There are so many different religions, and so many different gods, its ridiculous..

Besides that, ive got better shit to do on a sunday morning, like nursing a hangover.. or spooning.. haha

I don't know if this point is true or not, but aren't most political wars/arguements related to religion any way?
Like, some countries decide to attack the government and overthrow the power because they belive in a different religion to the leader?

Who knows :D

If there were no polititions the only arguments over religion there would be would be a few groups having a bit of a scuffle ie. israely and palistinian settlers
But with the adition of politics there is much more power to play with i.e tanks and helecopters. Also politions incourage arguments and war.
Alot of wars are created by other means. ie values, resources but it is correct that most trouble comes from different religious beleifs.

If there were no governments there would be no major organised forces and groups to fight each other. But then again the world would be different so i dont know

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Politics and Religon don't cause arguments. People cause arguments. It's called the human condition.

Both. Unless you're talking with people that are open to different views other than their own... Ie: I can't really talk either with the bf, he was raised as a Catholic (talk about rebelling) and has rather different political views than liberal little me.
Dugtrio used Earthquake. It's super effective.

Agree with pervert on that lol, but had to vote Religion. Espicially hate the ones that try force it upon you by knocking on your day every month  . They usually get a few french words and the door in their face in our house.
