Just like a gtir owning a gtt on the motorway aye ;)

besides, a bz-r vs an mr2 n/a, do we live in america? do we only travel in stright lines.

its all in the corners. AND i know what id pick in the corners TOO :D.

Dude, a levin would own a MR2 around corners. I had a race with an early sw20 up a windy hill (the brenderwins just south of whangarei) & i totally owned him. His rear end was steping out while i had to back off as not to run up his arse i was that much faster.
Have you seen the BMI typr r legend dvd? The have a race with std wrx, mr2 turbo rx7 s6, ITR etc & the mr2 comes last and the ITR pretty much kicks every things arse.

Ive owned a BZ-V levin, and I know what the limits are, I own an AW11 with Trd suspension, yet to reach its limits (can corner MUCH harder than the ae111 can, true the ae111 was on stock suspension, but the difference between stock -> trd is huge if the ae111 is going to corner like the aw if you put trd in it!)

Also driven (to much haha) the gfs sw20, which also corners better than the fwd's ive driven, it feels more sturdier than my aw11, but holds itself nicer through the corners (than the ae111, not the aw :D)

Go race Mmmboost through the twistys if you think ae111's can corner, hes actually spent SOME money on his suspension.

No i havnt seen this dvd, i have got a few vids of Mr2 Tubbys vs other cars,

Mr2 tubby vs ITR, absoutely destroys it (itr runs a 14.9 or something lol), Vs an Rx7 S6, beats that too (ive still got the videos on my comp if you wanna see them).

Only car it lost to was an STI, and if you dare say *BAHA they are slow then*, check out how he launches that thing, NOT nice to its diff at all...

If you dont think their quick, fine, just go line a late model (gen 3+) one up in ur ae111, or even a gen 2 for that matter....

drags have nothing to do with it.

no offence cozmo but i suspect your fwd driving style is not as good as your rwd......

i think the situations where an ae101/111 would "own" an mr2 would probably involve more than just the cars failings....
but i still think there are times when all things being equal, the ae101/111 wouldnt be as easy to beat as youd think

I'd agree with that, having passed an gen 2 sw20 non turb at manfeild, then being actually asked to have a play with this dude so he could get some respect back. Only problem was from after the 1st lap i was waiting for him on each straight and then leaving him behind in a straight line as well.
Most situations i would have to say a 101/111 would be a far easier car to drive faster, and actually be faster pint to point. Fair enough if both drivers know the road perfectly the sw would be right up there. How ever every day driving conditions, and a bit of twisty road driving how hard is the guy in the sw going to push?? Throw am unexpected bump at it mid corner near the limit and you flip a coin to figure which end is going to let go 1st, do the same with a 101/111 the front goes briefly and then back in line again! Making the 101/111 the faster car on unfamiliar roads as well as being equal if not better than the sw on roads that are familiar

This HIGHLY depends on driver, and their confidence.

Ive never driven a Gen 2 turbo... so i dont know how they go, how they handle or nuffing much about them in comparson to aw and gen3+ sw.

however ive never come across the snap oversteer, (well, not by accident), no "whops, there it goes", both cars have been very easy to corner with, as long as the right foot stays on the throttle.

Loud toy, what were you driving? you sure they were turbo :S.

Skyline or the Silvertop?

Silvertop was faster than skyline in twisty bits. Combination of a little bit of suspension playing, good brakes and bit of extra power over standard, Was definately non turb's as i said

But have played turbo's sw's on a certain hill and found it to be very close, and that was very definately turbo as stopping at the top for people to veiw his glowing turbo turned into people looking at my glowing exhaust manifold - for about 30 secs while it was still red!

On the BMI dvds they use stock standard cars in their test races. And also this was a race around a track not drags.
So in standard form a SW20 is pretty bad performer, wind the boost up and put some decent suspension in it and it would be a different story i would suspect.

as i said, old one or new one? toyota changed the suspension, and the turbo. so that rules out *needing to mod it up*

whoo ooh lets talk about racing in straight lines haaaahaaaa i would say the ae111 with a good set of springs would beat the mr2 through the twistys still havent managed to loose the front and i have pushed pretty hard.yeah the mr2 may be faster in a straight line but how boring.
