In my honest opinion: by the time you find an engineer and wait a few weeks while the adapter or whatever is made.....
You could find that the cost is no cheaper than buying a genuine one
And
You could have been driving around your (newly) manual car for 2 weeks.
Bite the bullet, save up for an extra week or 2 and just buy one.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

cost me approx $600 to get a JZ patterned bell housing made up to go onto my R151F G'box, slightly cheaper than buying one, the difference being you cant buy a JZ patterned bell housing the right depth for the R151F input shaft

its acutally pretty easier to make an adapter for a w55 to the old 5mge, the 4wd boys have been doing it for ages, Grab a late model 7mge bellhousing (as its alot lot shorter than the factory 5mg bellhousing) Make up and adapter plate to go between bellhousing and box out of some 20ish thick alloy which would bring the length back to the same as a factory ebllhousing, cut a hole, and bobs ya uncle.
