Something I am skeptical of....

I was reading Hot4's the other day (Please forgive me) and they had a section with bits and pieces for your cars in there.

Now, in there for a certain product, they stated that only ~80% of your fuel is actually turned into vapour properly and the rest drips out your exhaust is wasted fuel.
The product is mean to make sure that your fuel is fully vapourised, giving you better economy.

It was called the 'Vaporate Fuel Saving System'.
Aparently it is/will be stocked at Repco.

Now usually, I'd call bullshit on this one, however its not often that you get car magazines featuring bollocks stuff. I don't think I've seen an electric supercharger in any. Although, this IS Hot4's we're talking about.

So am I right in calling bullshit here?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Wouldn't car companies have known about this, and done somthing about it?
Sounds like poos.

Yep, it works alright!

Although there are a lot of people saying it doesnt work. :(
Thats because it was designed to work in the northern hemisphere! you have to mount it upside down to make it work properly. 8)

It requires maintenance though, you have to ensure that the snake oil resivoir is at least 75% full at all times.
Also since the device stores negative energy, it needs to be rotated 75 degrees counter-counter clockwise every other full moon.

we had a customer nearly back out of buying a new hiace casue the digital clock is right in front of her..... and digital clocks interfere with her magnetic field..... i saved the day by pointing out they wernt like the "old" digital clocks, the new ones were LCD displays, with cyrstals, which are good for you.

Another little known fact, is how the original TVIS concept worked.

It actually stands for Toyota Vortex Induction Sonicboom.

When you indicate left-left-right and push in the ciggarette lighter, it shuts both sets of intake runners, and sucks air in through a tiny pin hole.

The air velocity becomes so fast, that it travels faster than the speed of sound, creating a sonic boom in the intake.
This was toyotas answer to vtec, but unfortunately the system was deafeningly loud. Since the system was already in production, they replaced all of the ECUs, to reconfigure the TVIS activation to how you see it today.

If anyone is interested, I 'fix' your TVIS engine for only $450. (Toyspeed members special*)
*Note: you must supply the tools. A Hacksaw, a bag of sand, and hammer are required

I could SO sell BS inventions.

Isn't it Toyota Vtec Imitation System?

For those who wonder about electric superchargers...
http://www.boosthead.com/product.php?id=18

Yeah. I saw that product too... Seems fishy. And yet, slightly plausible. I'm not enough of an expert to say for sure that it definitely wouldn't work. Theory of operation sort of seems right though...

Can't be 100% pure prime BS. Perhaps it's just run of the mill non-lean BS...
