Bart: Because we are poor?
Homer: Exactly. And why are we poor? Because we have kids.

Get a woman down there with ya!

Oh, you mean insulation......

A big hammer and chisel, petrol softens it up but it may pay to have a big extinguisher near-by

Heat gun and scraper is what I used inside the car, some people use dry ice. For under the car I use a big ass wire wheel, shook the crap out of my arms though.

dry ice would be expensive, wouldn't it?

Chip as much off as you can with a hammer and a screwdriver or chisel,

Then use a heat gun and heat the rest and scrape it off.

Probably, I never bothered to check. As for weight it depends on the car, I would estimate under 20kg for my entire Sarlet including underneath it.

I think I got about 15kg of sound deadening out of the inside floor of my Carina.
Heatgun, chisel and a bit of petrol and a rag to wipe off the remaining tar crap or whatever it is.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Half the reason for removing it in a race car is weight,

The other half is because it is actually flamable at the right temperature apparantly.
