I've always been a Vodafone person, not that there's anything wrong with Telecom but the Vodafone has always been my provider.

Why?

I dont care. Which ever has the better plans. And right now telecoms $10 text is wicked.

Althought when I get a new phone Ill prob just get a vodaphone pre-pay try to cut back on the old spending...

Plus vodaphones selection is better.

Why? Because Telecom didn't have good phones. Even if they do now, i'll still stay with Vodafone. $10 txt doesn't matter to me, I don't text enough for it to matter, I call more.

Agreed, I send too many txt's a month to warrant changing to Vodafone, considering most of the people I txt are 027 customers too. I'm on boost at the moment.

However, If Vodafone could come out with a deal similar that covered both Telecom and Vodafone phones for a flat rate (unlike telecom who currently charge 20c each to Vodafone phones on Boost)

I usually spend $40 plus a week on my Vodafone texting, but I'm sure as hell not changing to Telecom for three reasons.

(1) I've had my 021 number for 8 years, I'm not about to change it...
(2) Telecoms range of phones is poor, at best.
(3) It's only money...and not having to use Telecom services is worth the extra $$$.

Vodafone for me... 8)

both services have been realiable for me but vodafone had very poor coverage at 2 of my flats on the north shore. a mish to send txts.
telecom these days coz of 10$ txt.. thats bout it.

whoah. 40 on texting a week, bro!
thats $120 a month when im paying $10. thats a lot of wasted money just because you dont want to use their service..so nearly 1500$ a year and impaying $120.. nah i cant justify that unless i was a millionaire

$120 a month? My accurate calculations put it at $160...

Yup, its a lot of wasted money...but no more than food/drinking/gambling/drugs/cars, which are some of my other favourite activities...no-ones loss but my own, and I can live with it...

Vodafone here :) on the 150txt plan for $25/month (as with pervert, want to keep my number as had it for a long time)

Just scored a telecom phone due to business upgrade tho so will be running both phones for a combined total of $35/month (yeah right)

why do people always make stupid calls when drunk?

you guys must get seriously sucked into vodaphones marketing if you spend that much on texting when you could do it for $10. Is it worth spending so much more so you can have a flashier phone? I dont have a phone and amazingly enough im still alive.

Whom here said they are sucked into anything? It seems everyone here realises they could be getting it cheaper, but CHOOSE not to, price isn't always the deciding factor for everyone, not everyone is a scrooge...

I would definitely have to go with Vodafone

1/ I've had this number for yonks and would like to keep it
2/ Sim card phones enables me to buy cheaper phones from overseas
3/ Roaming seems to be better supported with Vodafone than Telecom
4/ Motormouth plan is serving me pretty well, althought on average my phone bill per month is $140-150 80% on text messaging.
5/ Have had crap customer service, and service in general when i enquired about Telecom stuff many years ago
6/ I get discounted stuff from Vodafone when ever i want

I think that would cover the main points ... i'm sure there are other reasons but i can't be bothered thinking about it right now.
