ok did the shocks and springs
many surprises along the way:
1) rear bumpstops werent fux0red. they in fact were in mint condition
2) front bumpstops had been cut in half

as i had no new ones, back in they went.
3) the springs that were in it were King Springs for a Primera. they are pretty much the same size as the Caldina Teins i put in. however the Teins have more (tightly wound) coils
4) some mutant must have either snapped/crossthreaded/lost one of the bolts in the front as it was replaced with some mega-rangi bolt that was the wrongs size and had odd bolt/nut sizes
5) the rear shocks were totally rooted. ie push it all the way down with my little finger and then it ever so S L O W L Y makes its way back up...
6) fronts also stuffed
7) bolts were mega hard to undo
8.) now my car sits higher

damn 4x4 styles - hopefully it settles after the roadtrip this weekend
9) now the suspension actually works, not just bounces! yay
10) the alignment was WAY out. fronts were slightly pointing in to each other meaning now my tires have chewed out even more (45km driving)
was an interesting trip with the alignment that far out. especially when i get pissed off and pass people at 130
drives like a dream now wheel alignment done - $67.50 later
11) started at roughly 630 - finished at roughly 1130pm!!!
12) the rear needs to be stripped out to do the rear shocks
13) at least the oil/filter change went smoothly...
14) my exhaust downpipe is dented to crap
pics to come soon
